Mission Statement

The purpose of this church shall be to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, glorify and worship God, provide fellowship and Christian nurture for our members, promote evangelism, discipleship, missions, outreach and ministry to the community.

The biblical mandate for this ministry is comprised of the following:

1. GLORIFY AND WORSHIP GOD
   Worship is to praise God with love, thanksgiving and' adoration; through Communion with Him, fellowship with one another, presentation of gifts through effective stewardship, confession and repentance, music and prayer.
   
   
2. CHRISTIAN NURTURE/EDUCATION FOR OUR MEMBERS
   Christian nurture and education provide the basis for spiritual growth and development of each member through biblical instruction and guidance, and a place for practical ministry.
   
   
3. EVANGELISM
   Evangelism provides outreach with the presentation of this gospel message; through proclamation and life style to families, jobs, schools, and communities with the deliberate intent to cause people to commit themselves to Jesus Christ and mature in Him.
   
   
4. MISSIONS
   Missions renders the gospel to the world through services and support.
   
   
5. OUTREACH / DISCIPLESHIP
   Outreach provides the implementation of a system of accountability and the process of discipleship with a focus on congregation and community.
   
   
6. FELLOWSHIP
   The purpose of fellowship shall be to invite, encourage and assist our members to become involved in our church through continuous interaction with each other.
   
   
7. ADMINISTRATION
   The purpose of administration at Mount Sinai Baptist Church shall be to serve the church by developing and maintaining a record keeping system; the orderly and timely implementation of plans and programs; the conducting of follow up and evaluation, and taking corrective action when necessary.
